Dear friends,
May 9th traditional „Kawamura Cup“ tournament will be played. This time via internet, using vint.ee site. But first a bit about competition itself. Kawamura-san have been connected with Tallinn and Estonia more than other Japanese players. He became World Champion 1995 in Tallinn. When he lived and worked 3,5 years in Germany, he was ready to visite Estonia regulary and encourage young Estonian players. So, 2011 we held first „Kawamura Cup“, contributed by Kawamura-san. In first tournaments we had also gomoku beginners tournaments and Kawamura-san gave simultaneous games to them. Of course Mr. Kawamura participated also in main renju tournament himself and showed excellent results. Kawamura-san continued to contribute also after leaving from Europe 2014.
We have had nice tradition to eat delicious pancakes during tournament in hobbycenter Kullo cafe and having conversations with Kawamura-san in pub. We miss this special atmosphere!
This time situation is different, but still, we can have at least nice exiting games via internet!

be played in vint.ee. Time control is 15min+ 5sec, 7 rounds in Swiss will be
played
Start is 10:15 a.m. by Estonian and Moscow time (9:15 Poland,
Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden; 15:15 in China Chinese Taipei,
Macau; 16:15 in Japan, Korea.
Tournament room will be opened 30 minutes before tournament.
For participation you need to have registrated user in vint.ee
For that you need to:
– Click on Registration (upper part of the homepage)
– Fill your username and password and e-mail
– Press to link in confirmation letter in your mailbox
– Log in with your username and password
– Select your language you want to use from left side of site
– press to “games”
– press to tournaments on right side of page
– press “register”, blue botton on right side of
page. If you have “mark” before your name, you are succesfully
registrated
