Here are some of my additional comments:
Wang Qichao broke his countrymate´s record for points in High League, the previous record was by Hao Tianyi in 2017 (15.5 points) but he managed to get a whopping 17 points (16 wins, 2 draws, 0 losses)! This record will stay for a long time.
Here is an example of Wang´s creative play and analyze:
This used to be a very complicated variant for black after 6 but he managed to find a new 7th move that in this game lead to a quick victory.
Sometimes the idea of the plan in renju can be more important than the number of moves.
